Our client is searching for a Telecommunications Engineer to join their team in Chicago.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as the primary architect, engineer, and implementer of high-end audio, video, video conferencing, and collaboration solutions across all offices in their global footprint by working closely with facilities, IT and business teams to ensure successful project completion.
  • Partner with A/V integrators to design and deploy next generation video conferencing rooms.
  • Manage and administer Cisco Call Manager and Unity administration; with bulk admin and support escalation from the helpdesk.


Requirements:

  • A strong and deep passion for technology, collaboration tools and audio visual solutions.
  • Ability to understand a wide range of telecommunications and A/V technologies including SIP, ISDN PRI circuits / circuit turn ups, RTP, WebRTC, Cisco, Polycom, Microsoft, 911 routing (enhanced), MGCP H323, TMS, VCS and expressway.
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences (technical and non-technical, staff and managerial), and in a wide range of settings (e.g., one-on-one, small group, in person, on the phone, and via e-mail).
  • Certifications such as CCNA / CCNA Voice, CCVP, CCNP voice preferred.


Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from a top 25 university in an applicable technical field of study.
