Our client is a leading financial institution that is focused on acquiring, analyzing, and understanding the ever-growing data universe.  Given the vast amount of data being produced, they are rapidly implementing new research methodologies, machine learning, natural language processing, scientific data visualization, and distributed computing to identify significant trends.  

 

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate with investment teams to understand their research process, and how data can support their research processes
  • Take reverse inquiries from investment teams and understand the key data drivers
  • Analyze data from multiple sources to answer complex investment theses
  • Quickly digest data, recognize inflection points, and determine data relevancy
  • Deliver high quality research to investment teams in a clear and digestible manner
  • Work with existing and new data sets to push significant ideas and inflection points to investment teams

 

Desired skills and experience:

  • 1-3 years of investment banking, sell side research, management consulting, or related experience
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to learn, think, and react quickly
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Industry generalist or background in Consumer, Energy, Financials, Healthcare, Industrials, Media, Technology or Telecom

Education: 

  • Bachelors degree or advanced degree in finance
  • CFA candidate a plus
