Our client is seeking an experienced Data Scientist for their Chicago location. This individual will focus on automated trading strategy development on a variety of horizons.
Responsibilities:
- Design, testing, and deployment of automated trading strategies
- Analyze and research model performance, optimization, and new market opportunities
- Apply data analysis techniques along with real world trading experimentation to expose trade opportunities
Requirements:
- Advanced Degree (MSc, PhD) in Statistics, Physics, Mathematics (or similar)
- 1-3 years’ experience in quantitative research
- Working knowledge of game theory, forecasting and data mining techniques such as regression analysis, support vector machines, model optimization
- Analytic mindset with the ability to manage numerous research projects with ease
- Motivation and resourcefulness to quickly solve hard problems
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a desire to work / grow in a fast paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment
- Comfortable development in Python, R, Matlab, kdb
