Our client is a globally recognised electronic trading technology provider with a strong focus on OTC financial instruments, specifically FX, Interest Rate Derivatives and futures. They are going to carry out a huge push next year into the High Frequency Trading space and require technologists to join ASAP in preparation. They are currently looking to fill a number of Low Latency Performance Engineers positions within their Frankfurt office to join an existing team of dedicated technologists in a huge Greenfield project; involving the complete redesign and recreation of the existing trading platform from scratch. This will involve a massive amount of exposure to the business and all aspects of the full project lifecycle (gathering requirements, testing, architecture etc). Based on its proprietary core technology, the platform offers deep liquidity of more than 100 global market makers used by over 800 client organizations worldwide including across Europe, America and Asia-Pacific with subsidiaries in New York, Singapore, Dubai and Mumbai – so the role will involve heavy communicating with colleagues internationally. The ideal candidate will have the following: - • Java (VERY STRONG TECHNICALLY) • Experience working with High Frequency Trading, Electronic Trading, Algorithmic Trading or Market-Making business-areas. • Experience with C/C++ to a Linux Kernel Level • Complex problem-solver • Extensive theoretical and practical background in algorithms and data-structures, both in a single threaded and a multi threaded environment. • Pristine communication skills • Expert understanding of throughput, latency, memory and CPU utilization.
